What Lecron reads today
The formats below are what the platform handles now, not a roadmap.
Standard mesh files
STL and PLY, the formats every scanner and design package in the lab can already write.
exocad and 3Shape output
Design files come out of the software your technicians use and go straight onto the case. No re-export into a proprietary format.
Orders and uploads
Cases arriving from a practice portal and cases a practice uploads land in the same list, with the same record behind them.
Why it works this way
A lab that has spent years building a workflow in exocad or 3Shape is not going to abandon it, and it should not have to. The bottleneck in a modern lab is almost never the design software. It is everything around it: chasing an approval, re-sending a screenshot, working out which version the dentist actually saw.
So Lecron sits at that seam. Your technicians design where they design, and Lecron takes the file from there: onto the case record, in front of the dentist, on your lab's own portal, as an interactive 3D model they can turn and mark up, and into the invoice once the case ships.
What we are building next

- Named scanner-portal connections. Direct intake from the portals your practices already send from, so a case arrives without anyone downloading and re-uploading it.
- A watched folder on the lab's own machine. Drop a design in the folder your CAD already exports to and it appears on the case.
- Accounting handoff. Statements built in Lecron, carried into the books your lab already keeps.
